On the other hand, die plot of Crown land in Jordan Road, where the present Place of Worship stands although only one quarter the area of the Ma Tau jei site, would just provide space for the buildings we require. This site in Jordan Road was in fact offered by letter of 11th July, 1922 (subject to to approval of the Secretary of State for the Colonies) but there were reasons why the offer could not be accepted at that time.
We now beg to ask the Government to grant the Jordan Road site, referred to in the letter fra the Hon. Colonial Secretary dated 11th July, 1922, for the purpose of erecting a Church and Manse on either side the present
Hell.
